Auriga - CT4000 Taxi Meter

Auriga Systems, a fleet management systems supplier wanted a successor to their in-vehicle CT 3000 dispatch unit to provide a platform for future developments. They required a state of the art unit, with GPS for monitoring position, robust keypad and a full colour touch screen control to meet the needs of taxi and private hire drivers.

42 Technology carried out the CT4000 mechanical and industrial design. Working closely with one of our electronics partners we focused on:

• Stylish yet robust design suited to manufacturing in the expected volumes
• Simple production assembly
• Full-colour touch screen, powered by Windows CE.Net TM
• Vehicle docking station for easy removal from the vehicle
• Concept to manufacture programme
• User interface design
