42 Technology appoints pharma industry automation and robotics expert
Frank joins with immediate effect as a mechanical engineer to build on the consultancy’s existing track record in helping some of the world’s leading diagnostics and pharmaceutical companies design, develop and bring to market innovative new products and processes. 42 Technology’s recent successes include: developing a novel precision powder printing technology for GSK; and working with FIND, the Geneva-based non-profit organisation on significantly improving the sensitivity of a new TB diagnostic.
We are delighted Frank is joining 42 Technology to help strengthen our healthcare offering. He has first-class mechanical engineering skills but also excellent robotics experience, particularly in automating pharmaceutical and biotech laboratory and manufacturing processes.

Before taking up his new position Frank was a lead engineer at The Automation Partnership (TAP) and in 2008 was named as runner-up for the UK’s most prestigious engineering prize: The MacRobert Award from The Royal Academy of Engineering. He was lead robotic engineer in a project team developing Polar, a -80° C automated sample store for UK Biobank.
Frank has an MA and M.Eng, both from University of Cambridge and after graduating spent six months in East Timor lecturing electrical engineering. He is also a chartered engineer with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
