42T goes for growth with new MD
Dave Wilson, who first joined 42 Technology as sales and marketing director in 2002, takes up his new position with immediate effect and will be responsible for rolling out and overseeing an ambitious five year growth strategy for the business. The management team reshuffle follows an in-depth strategic review that was started when the company moved into its new premises last year.
Howard Biddle who previously held the role becomes chairman, allowing him to focus on strategic business opportunities.
“42 Technology has been growing steadily for a number of years but having doubled our office and laboratory space with the 2011 move we can now take on much larger, longer-term client projects. In his new position, Dave Wilson will ensure we have all the right people, skills and systems in place to boost our business development activities and to take the consultancy up to the next level,” said Howard Biddle.
42 Technology believes much of its future growth will come from more repeat work from existing global brand clients, as well as new clients who are increasingly attracted by the consultancy’s contribution to their businesses, responsiveness and high-value approach. 42T’s business model is to combine its own senior-level engineering, design and project management skills with specific expertise drawn from associates and partner companies. This lean and efficient approach provides clients with the perfect mix of skills while helping to keep their new product development costs down.
In his 10 year career with 42 Technology to date, Dave Wilson has been instrumental in helping to build the consultancy’s sales, internal team and client list, as well as working on multiple industrial, consumer and healthcare innovations. His previous experience includes senior-level roles in business development and consulting with Cambridge Consultants and technology management at Renishaw.
