Precision Powder Dosing

GSK needed a solution for metering small dose weights of API at very high accuracy. 42T discovered that when powder is placed on a sticky web and the excess removed; this requirement can be met in a simple, web-based process capable of very high-speed manufacture. This new technology is the basis of a completely new tabletting manufacture system:

• The system can dispense between 1mg and 100mg at accuracies of better than 4%
• The system allows continuous, on-line, automatic inspection of the dispensed active
• Individual doses have high solubility in comparison with tablets
• The system could be modified to achieve delayed release
