The opportunity

We are a friendly company of 40 permanent employees, working in a busy environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic and high-calibre graduate to help us continue our recent growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to client projects, be self-motivated, enthusiastic, technically excellent, business savvy and a strong communicator.


The role

Your core responsibility will be creating value for new and existing clients by providing excellent design and engineering work on exciting and challenging projects; developing new products and technologies and helping solve complex technical challenges. This will likely be a combination of design, analysis and hands-on activities, such as prototyping, test and experimentation.

42 Technology has a very strong technical team, with expertise in complex electromechanical product development, thermal and fluidic analysis, and connected devices (IoT). Candidates must combine a similar strength in the technical domain, and business acumen to be an effective interface between the internal technical team and the client’s business needs.

About you

You will have:

  • A passion and talent for electronics design and electronics engineering
  • A strong technical degree in a relevant subject from a well-reputed institution
  • Excellent, engaging communication skills and be able to rapidly explain your work to colleagues and clients.
  • The ability to participate as part of a creative, multi-disciplinary team on a wide range of problems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence. UK work permit (if required). Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally

Ideally you will have:

  • Practical experience of developing electronics perhaps from previous experience, hobby level activities or as part of academic projects.
  • Interest in structuring, planning and costing research and engineering projects.
  • The ability to influence colleagues and clients
